The Legal Department currently has a Paralegal position available on its in-house legal and compliance team. This position will be responsible for the following:

(i) Research and resolve issues and matters that may involve substantial legal or factual complexity through detailed legal research and/or examination of documentation;

(ii) Review, revise, and assist in drafting of commercial financing agreements, vendor contracts and related documents with appropriate supervision;

(iii) Investigate specific inquiries, claims, disputes, cases and/or proceedings under the direction of an attorney;

(iv) Provide support for the customer relations and recoveries functions, including drafting legal correspondence;

(v) Monitor changes in laws and regulations that affect the business of ECG at the state and federal levels;

(vii) Draft compliance training materials with under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer;

(viii) Assist in administering compliance training for ECG employees; and

This position requires a high degree of analytical, written and oral communication and organizational skills. It also requires both the ability to identify legal and compliance issues as they arise and the ability work independently on complex assignments. The position will be located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.


Required Qualifications

•    2+ years of paralegal experience

•    Must meet the requirements of South Dakota Supreme Court Rule 97-25 for employment as a legal assistant
