My Place Hotels of America has an opening for an experienced paralegal or legal secretary. My Place is a dynamic, growing hotel franchisor based in Aberdeen, with 74 hotels open in 30 states and more under construction. Two attorneys work in house and provide legal advice to My Place and its development, construction, and management affiliates. The work environment is fun and collegial.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, have some experience in corporate law, and be motivated and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
· Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals both orally and in writing.
· Ability to proofread material for grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors.
· Comprehension of and experience with real estate transactions.
· Draft and revise entity and organizational documents.
· Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Support the preparation and submission of reports and preparation of supporting documentation.
· Conduct research and gather relevant information on a variety of legal issues.
